Jester's Court
*The "Jester's Court" title card comes into focus as Holst's "Jupiter" plays. The title card dissolves to show a closeup of Jerry Bishop, seated in his beanbag chair with his smoking jacket and strawberry milk, and he’s fiddling with a massive Rubik’s cube. Somehow he manages to solve it with a smile on his face.*
JB: Finally! I’ve been working on that one since 2006!
*Bishop turns to face the camera and sets down his cube.*
JB: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to another edition of Jester’s Court. Tonight my guest is one of the newest members of the FPW roster. While he may not be a member of the League of Friendmigos, he’s got a mask, so that means he’s alright in my book! Please welcome El Timido!
*Timido walks out in a green and yellow tshirt and jeans, fidgety. Upon seeing the calm atmosphere of the set, however, he gets a bit less anxious and sits in one of the beanbags*
T: Uh, thanks for having me, I guess.
JB: *overenthusiastically* You’re quite welcome, my friend! Have some strawberry milk, chilled to perfection! *Jerry thrusts a brandy snifter of strawberry milk out to Timido*
T: *flinches* S-sure. *carefully grabs glass, sips*
JB: Marvelous! Now, Timido, from what I’ve heard you wrestled for some time across Mexico before coming up here to FPW. What drew you to FPW as your new home after so long on the road?
T: Well, you see, I've been into wrestling since I was a kid, ya know? And, one of the first guys I saw was Jim Houston. So when I had my... *winces* accident, I moved back home. Then, I found out Jim was starting up his own company. It was kinda my dream to work with him, so I started making my way to you guys, and, well, here I am.
JB: So you and Mr. Houston have a bit of history together? That’s nice! He loves it when we hang out in his office, you should try it sometime, he doesn’t mind. Now that you’re here in Freedom Pro Wrestling, do you have your sights set on any particular potential opponents? *Jerry smiles to himself at his alliteration*
T: Well, I don't know. But... maybe... you? Just a friendly match, to prove myself? I-I-I don't know.
JB: Oh, man, that would be so FUN! We could unleash our full Lucha Power Potential and put on an absolute show-stealer! Do your Lucha Powers come from a ring? Mine do! I got it from- *Jerry’s face darkens for a moment* ...an old friend...
T: Oh, uh, I don't really have any... Lucha Powers. I'm kinda just, uh, an average guy?
JB: Nono, my boy, what you have is untapped potential! I’m sure you’ll find the Lucha Powers within you someday!
T: Well, thanks, Mr. JB
JB: Please, Mr. JB was my father. One more question before we sign off. As you may know, I take the wearing of the mask very seriously. I’m sure you do as well, but is there any particular lineage or history to your mask and colors?
T: Well, my mask is something I kinda just, found. Funnily enough, it was kinda by chance. I walked out of the pub where I got my injury, with most of my wrestling knowledge and past life forgotten, and I saw the mask on the sidewalk. I put it it on, and I felt some purpose.
JB: Ah, as the ancient mask wisdom says, the wrestler chooseth not the mask, the mask chooseth the wrestler. Well, that’s all the time we have for this episode of Jester’s Court, please be sure to tune in next time for more behind the scenes intimacy with- *Jerry notices Ted Crewmember doing a “cut that” motion off camera*What? Oh, sorry. More behind the scenes *interviews* with the Freedom Pro Wrestling roster! Thanks for watching! Timido, do you have any final thoughts for our viewers?
T: Uh, I guess keep calm and stay timid? And good luck, JB?
JB: And to you as well! So from all of us here at FPW, we hope to see you again soon! Bye!
*Bishop gets up from his beanbag chair and exits as the music swells and the lights dim. Timido starts to get up from his seat, but isn’t sure what to do. Jerry rushes back in and exits with Timido as the scene fades out.*
