*A title card with "Jester's Court" written in fancy purple calligraphy appears onscreen with Holst's Jupiter playing underneath. The title card and music fade away to show Jerry Bishop in his "library" wearing his smoking jacket in his beanbag chair. He is deeply engaged with his 3DS.*
JB: C'mon, I've been stuck on this gym leader for three days! Maybe I need to level up some more...
*A stagehand pokes Jerry with a ruler*
JB: OH! Hi! Yes! Good evening, and welcome to another edition of Jester's Court, where I take you behind the scenes and spend time talking with other members of the FPW roster. Tonight's guest will be competing for the FPW World Championship at our upcoming PPV, Enter Sandman. Would you please welcome, Adam Thompson!
*The Pendragon walks on, taking a seat in the beanbag chair next to Bishop.*
AT: Thank you for having me on the show.
JB: Thank you for coming on! It's been a while since I've interviewed a real British person! Something I have been curious about, though, is your nickname, "the Pendragon." Last I heard Pendragon was King Arthur's last name. But your name is Adam? How does that work?
AT: Well I don't know how much more you know about King Arthur's legends, but olden Breton and Cornish belief is that Arthur Pendragon will one day return, to defend his homeland again. As I'm sure you've noticed Britain has gone through two World Wars and a Brexit and the guy doesn't seem to be showing up anytime soon. As such, I figured someone should step up and take responsibility, what better choice that the best thing to come out of British wrestling today?
JB: Huh, I hadn't considered that. Given your training in England and fighting style, how do you feel that's prepared you to adjust to things here in FPW?
AT: Jerry, I don't mean to come off as too arrogant but I don't adjust to others, I force others to adjust to me. Anyone who can't change and adapt to how I fight is going to fall, the only variable is whether they go 5 minutes or 20.
JB: I suppose that's one way of looking at it. And it's definitely something to consider given your next opponent. You'll be facing off against Marcus Allen Jones for the FPW title at Enter Sandman in a few weeks' time. Considering how much it took for him to take *me* down, do you think your chances are good going into this match?
AT: Marcus is by no means going to be an easy fight, it's going to be long and drawn out, and possibly too violent for my own grandmother to watch. But you see, that's nothing new, Kassius Boone was a hard match, Sabre was a hard match but in the end they were both lying on the floor as the ref counted three. Now I take my scouting seriously, I've watch each of Marcus' matches here at least a dozen times so far and with all that I'm willing to bet that I have the "Marksman" figured out. So Marcus is going to have to make a choice: Adapt, or lie down.
JB: Well, as much as I wish I could be the one to wipe that smirk off his face, I wish you luck in your match! Oh, but one last question, though.
*Bishop tilts his 3DS for Thompson to see*
JB: Do you have any tips for beating this gym?
AT: Whitney? You're doomed.
JB: Oh... that's good to know, I guess. Well, thanks for coming on the show, Adam!
AT: I'll take any chance to show off on camera, thanks for having me.
JB: And be sure to tune in for more exciting FPW action, and check out our next edition of Jester's Court with another member of our roster! Thanks for watching!
*The theme tune plays us out as the camera fades on Bishop showing off his team to Thompson, who appears to be offering pointers.*
