The show begins with Jim Houston sitting in his chair behind his desk.
“Ladies and gentlemen, tonight is one of the biggest nights in the history of Freedom Pro Wrestling. While this is supposedly a small show, it contains one of the most important matches Freedom Pro Wrestling has ever held. Tonight the vacant Freedom Pro Wrestling Championship is on the line in a thirty-person Royal Rumble match-up. But before I discuss that match, I wish to address the circumstances that led to this match taking place.
“It is with great sadness that I must announce the retirement from wrestling of Davey Jones. In the last few hours, I have finally managed to reach him. After the sickening attack perpetrated by a Jack Sevren-led TakeOver, Davey Jones has been given no choice but to retire from not just FPW but from wrestling as a whole. While Davey Jones was far from perfect, no man should ever have to retire from earning his livelihood because of the actions of another. Jack Sevren and the rest of TakeOver 2.0 will, I am sure, face the consequences at some point in the future.
“Of course, the vacating of the FPW Championship leads to tonight. Thirty Freedom Pro Wrestling wrestlers, representing the present, the future and, in a few cases, the past of this company, will enter the ring in a randomly determined order. Twenty-nine of them will be pinned, submitted or thrown over the top rope until one of them remains as the fifth Freedom Pro Wrestling Champion. Whoever that may be will defend the FPW Championship in two weeks’ time at Uncensored against a deserving opponent of my choosing.
“I wish every entrant the very best of luck and hope that the winner will be someone who Freedom Pro Wrestling can be proud to call its standard-bearer.”
The video cuts to Mike Watson and Steven Deville, who introduce the show.
MW: Well I hate to start the show on a downer but I can only send our best wishes to Davey Jones.
SD: Nobody wants to see someone have to retire. I have every sympathy with Davey Jones but…
MW: But what?
SD: But it goes to show… Jack Sevren said that a time will come when Davey Jones stands in front of TakeOver and is either with them or against them. He rejected the opportunity that Jack Sevren offered him to join them and decided instead to stand alone. TakeOver stand tall as the strongest force here in FPW and I am absolutely backing Jack Sevren to win the FPW Championship tonight.
MW: I can’t possibly agree with you. I’m amazed that Jack Sevren is even being allowed to enter this arena tonight let alone this match.
SD: Jack Sevren may be the winner of the Rumble match, but Hunter Killer are in action first tonight as TakeOver look to stake their claim to another set of titles too- the Tag Team Titles.
MW: Indeed they do, but they face the debuting Suplex Sweethearts, who had some interesting things to say earlier this week.
A video plays, showing Tommy Saxon and Ella Ripley disrespecting the FPW tag division and talking about how they plan to run through every single team.
MW: Some strong points there made by our newest team.
SD: They want to go through every team in FPW but they’re up against TakeOver and therefore won’t have a chance to go further than this match tonight. They talk a good game, but they won’t back it up against Sara Daniels and George Jackson.
MW: They talk similarly to The Guardians of Strong Style when they discuss the other teams in FPW. We know they have a great track record- ICW Tag Team Classic winners and Champions, defeating The Guardians of Strong Style in the final. They’ve had a great record in ALPHA Wrestling as well. They face a strong team in Hunter Killer, but they’re among the favourites for winning this Gauntlet Series if you ask me.
SD: No chance. It’ll come down to Hunter Killer and The Invaders.
MW: We’ll see about that.
“Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is the second match in the Tag Team Number One Contendership Gauntlet Series. Introducing first, representing TakeOver, from Dayton, Ohio, ‘Double-Barrel’ George Jackson and ‘Forty-Four’ Sara Daniels… Hunter Killer.”
‘6/8’ begins to play, the lights flashing in sync with the rapid guitar strumming, flashing red with the 'heavy' secondary strum as both members emerge from backstage to heavy boos, with Jackson holding his arms out while Daniels crouches in front of him. As the song intensifies, the two walk toward the ring, Jackson looming behind Daniels and keeping his presence heavy, occasionally cursing or shouting at fans who get too close. When they get to the ring, Jackson holds the ropes open for Daniels before she returns the favor, and the two resume their pose in the center of the ring before throwing their entrance gear off to the side and awaiting their opponents as the fans continue to shout abuse at them both.
“And introducing their opponents… they are the Ice Coalition Wrestling Tag Team Champions, from Colby, Kansas and London, England respectively… ‘The Stargazer’ Ella Ripley, ‘Dauntless’ Tommy Saxon… The Suplex Sweethearts!”
‘Turbo Killer’ begins to play and Saxon and Ripley come through the curtain with a lot of energy. They come together with Saxon putting an arm around Ripley and kissing her passionately before peeling away and throwing a few shadow punches while Ripley stands and admires him. They move quickly down the ramp. Saxon looking very pumped up while Ripley moves with much more control. As they get to the ring, Saxon slides in while Ripley takes her time climbing the steps and stepping through the ropes. Saxon steps up to Hunter Killer, eyeballing both of them before Ripley guides him back and gives Jackson and Daniels a dismissive stare. The fans give a mixed reaction, some unhappy with the way they spoke about FPW but others excited to have such a talented team making their debut.
Match 1: Tag Team Number One Contendership Gauntlet Series: Match Two: Hunter Killer v Suplex Sweethearts:
The bell rings and Ripley stands in the ring opposite Daniels. The two stare each other down for a few seconds before coming together with a strong lock-up. Daniels initially gets the better of it, pushing Ripley back, but she reverses, dropping a knee and locking in a waistlock before connecting with a half nelson suplex. Daniels rolls back towards her corner as Ripley gives her a look. Daniels shakes her head and the two come together for another lock up. Ripley takes control again, catching Daniels in a front facelock and performing a swinging neckbreaker. She makes a cover, 1-2-no. Daniels kicks out.
Ripley quickly looks to take the arm into her Ripper armbar, but Daniels flails herself free from her grip and looks to make a tag to Jackson, but Ripley grabs the back of her trunks and pulls her in for a Saito suplex. Ripley looks down at Daniels before making the tag to Tommy Saxon, who comes in and immediately goes after George Jackson, taking him off the apron with a hard right hand. He turns and sees Daniels getting to her feet and charges at her, taking her down with a lariat. He pulls her up and drives her into the corner before pulling her out and taking her down with a belly to belly suplex. Saxon makes a cover, 1-2-no. Daniels kicks out again as the fans respond well to Saxon’s intensity.
MW: Tommy Saxon bringing a real intensity to this match.
SD: He seems to be fairly popular with these fans too, despite some of his statements about FPW and the entirety of the USA.
MW: I can see why they like him. He’s got a real presence about him.
SD: And Sara Daniels is in big trouble.
Saxon pulls Daniels up and whips her into the ropes, looking to catch her with an exploder suplex as she comes back to him, but she drops her centre of gravity and then drives her knees into his sternum. Saxon reels backwards and Daniels lands a hard kick to his leg. She aims another which brings him down to a knee and then connects hard with a head kick before making a cover, 1-2-no. Saxon kicks out. Jackson calls for the tag in the corner and Daniels, lifting and dragging Saxon, makes it. Jackson enters the match and drives a knee into Saxon’s gut, forcing him into the corner before driving his shoulder repeatedly into Saxon’s gut.
Saxon drops down to a seated position and Jackson jams his foot into his throat, forcing his head back as far as it can go as the official counts. At four, Jackson releases him and turns to berate the official and then the crowd as they shout more abuse at the TakeOver team. As Saxon begins to stand, Jackson pulls him up and lifts him onto his shoulders into a fireman’s carry position, only for Saxon to elbow his way free and drop down to his feet. Jackson turns and aims a lariat, but Saxon ducks, landing body shots before hooking an arm over him and connecting with a snap suplex. Saxon then crawls over to Ripley, who climbs up to the top rope. As Jackson stands and turns towards her, she connects with a diving seated senton. Standing, she stalks Jackson before running at him and connecting with a step-up high knee to stagger him.
Jackson drops back into the Suplex Sweethearts’ corner and tags in Saxon while throwing Jackson out of the corner. Saxon then comes in and grabs a waistlock, connecting with a German into the turnbuckles. Saxon slumps down and Ripley charges at Daniels, taking her down with a forearm before charging at Jackson and connecting with a Colby Cannonball. Jackson rolls out of the corner and Saxon makes a cover, 1-2-no. Jackson manages to kick out. Saxon wastes little time in sitting him up and then hitting the ropes, connecting with a hard penalty kick before tagging Ripley in again. She climbs to the top rope and connects with the Lucky Star Press, holding for the cover, 1-2-no! Daniels saves the match by breaking up the cover, much to the disappointment of the fans.
MW: I think they’d have had it there!
SD: Maybe so, but you can’t beat TakeOver that easily!
MW: Hunter Killer will always look out for one another, we know that for sure. But I don’t know if these two can beat Tommy Saxon and Ella Ripley. They’re as impressive a team as I’ve seen in a long time.
SD: Not as impressive as Jackson and Daniels will be once they’ve beaten them.
Saxon stands and goes after Daniels, who rolls out of the ring. Saxon follows but Daniels takes him down with a series of palm strikes followed by a hard kick. She lifts him and locks in a waistlock, running him face-first into the ringpost before rolling back with an O’Connor roll and rolling through to connect with a German suplex. The fans boo as Daniels stands, only for Ripley to take her down with a diving leg drop bulldog from the top rope to the outside! All three of them lie on the outside as Jackson begins to recover in the ring. He looks down to the outside and reaches down to grab Tommy Saxon and pull him back in.
Jackson lifts Saxon onto his shoulder and drives him down hard into the mat with a running powerslam, making a cover, 1-2-no. Saxon manages to kick out. Jackson looks down at him and drives a hard right hand into his face. Saxon drops down and Jackson lifts his head again, landing another hard right. The fans boos as he does the same again before lifting his head a fourth time. He lands a fourth right hand but Saxon roars at him, exploding up and landing a hard right of his own. Saxon explodes to his feet and begins to unload on George Jackson, the fans loudly cheering as he drives Jackson back into the corner.
Saxon pulls Jackson away from the corner and connects with an exploder suplex before standing and looking to Ripley, who has climbed back onto the apron. He tags her in and the two of them stalk Jackson. Ripley positions herself behind Jackson as Saxon crouches. Jackson stands and Saxon leaps up for The Knuckler, only for Daniels to dive at Jackson and take him out of the line of fire, leading Saxon to strike Ripley. She folds to the mat and Saxon stares down at her for a moment before turning, his face enraged, into a Full Rotation from Sara Daniels. George Jackson makes the cover as Daniels keeps Ripley down, 1-2-no! Ella Ripley manages to drive Daniels back onto the two of them to interrupt the cover!
MW: And this one’s not over!
SD: Not yet. But Hunter Killer are in the ascendancy and that’s not about to change.
MW: The Suplex Sweethearts are in trouble, that’s for sure. But they’re not out of this match just yet.
SD: But they soon will be. Look at this.
Jackson lifts Ripley and throws her out of the ring as he calls for The Long Goodbye. Daniels sets up to send Saxon into Jackson. As he recovers and stands, she connects with the shotgun dropkick which sends Tommy Saxon into Jackson’s grip. He lifts him into his shoulders for The Hunter Killer Driver, but Ripley manages to reach up and pull Saxon down to safety. Jackson turns and aims a right hand at Ripley but she ducks it, running under him and taking Sara Daniels down with Starstruck. Ripley gets onto a knee as Jackson charges at her again, looking for another lariat, but she rolls under him and then takes him down with a German suplex.
Ripley stands and callas for Saxon to get to his feet too. Saxon struggles as Ripley lifts Jackson for another German suplex. As she lifts Jackson, Daniels recovers and shoves Saxon aside, catching Jackson as Ripley releases him. Jackson and Daniels steady themselves and each of them explode with hard strikes to Daniels and Saxon respectively. They drive them both into opposite corners before turning and charging at them. Saxon and Ripley however both manage to get out of the way and Daniels and Jackson crash into the turnbuckles, staggering out backwards. Saxon and Ripley connect with simultaneous German suplexes.
Sara Daniels rolls onto the apron and Ripley follows, setting her up against the ringpost. She backs away and then charges at her, connecting again with a Colby Cannonball as both of them slump to the floor. In the ring, Tommy Saxon stalks George Jackson before leaping up and connecting with The Knuckler. Jackson drops and Saxon makes the cover, 1-2-3.
Winners: The Suplex Sweethearts (14:40).
MW: Well that was one hell of a debut from Tommy Saxon and Ella Ripley!
SD: They may have defeated Hunter Killer, but TakeOver has two bites of this cherry. We still have The Invaders to take them out.
MW: There’s also Dogs of War to make their debut in this Gauntlet Series as well as another team who have yet to be named. There will be some big matches to come.
Ripley manages to get back into the ring and her and Tommy Saxon have their arms raised. A lot of fans cheer for them while some still react negatively, but they take little notice of the reaction. They kiss again before looking down at George Jackson, who remains on the mat without having moved.
MW: Well we know which team has advanced to match three, but now, ladies and gentlemen, it is time for one of the biggest matches, not just from Road To shows, but in all of Freedom Pro Wrestling history as we are about to crown out fifth ever FPW Champion…
A video package plays, highlighting the journey of the FPW Championship over the past two and a half years.
MW: MARCUS JUST LANDED RIGHT ON HIS HEAD!
SD: HOLY SHIT!
MW: Wait! I don't think he's finished!
SD: BLOODY FUCKING MURDER!!!
MW: IT'S OVER!
DB: Here is your winner, and new FPW World Champion, Adam Thompson!
MW: What a match! And what a first champion!
SD: I'm a little mad it's not Marcus Allen Jones but I'll admit, Adam Thompson sure earned it!
MW: You're right! I have immense respect for both of these men now. They went to war!
MW: Well now there are just two men left in this match.
SD: And we all know who they are!
MW: Azazel has beaten Tommy Storm, Clutch McCloud, MDE, Berry Bishop and Jerry Bishop, but can he defeat the egomaniac? Can he defeat the man who will do whatever it takes to become champion, Marcus Allen Jones?
SD: He can't and he won't. Marcus is our champion and he's about to take his belt.
MW: I don’t believe this. Marcus Allen Jones is stealing a victory that he clearly didn’t earn.
SD: Yes! It’s happening! 1… 2… 3! Marcus is finally the undisputed FPW Champion!
MW: Lionsault. He's done this once before in-
SD: Marcus moved! Baker crashes and burns.
MW: And now Marcus Allen Jones sees his chance. He rolls towards the ropes.
SD: He's going to end this match with a Mark-Out Moment, in every sense of the phrase.
MW: Marcus stands on the top rope… readying himself. Mark-Out Mom- no! Baker caught him! Emergency Landing locked in! There's nowhere to go for the champion.
SD: Marcus! No!
MW: Is Marcus Allen Jones about… is he about to- yes! He taps out! We've got a new FPW Champion!
MW: He… he kicked out at one!
SD: At one!
MW: Now Baker… no, countered into a powerbomb. And now another- Jones sending Baker into the corner and that’s a brutal spear!
SD: That may be it right there.
MW: But he’s not going for the… he’s got him trapped. Looney Bin!
SD: Davey Jones is about to become the FPW Champion!
MW: One… two… three…
SD: He did it!
MW: And this arena has just gone silent.
The video package ends with a shot of the FPW Championship sitting outside the ring on a pedestal.
MW: And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the prize for the winner of this next match.
SD: This is the first time we’ve ever had a Royal Rumble match in FPW. Thirty wrestlers all looking to claim that championship.
MW: Some for the first time, some for the second. All we know is by the time this match is over, we will have an FPW Champion once again.
SD: Remember, this Royal Rumble match is not just an over the top rope match.
MW: No it is not. The rules of this match are very clear. Every two minutes there will be a new entrant, with no countdown clock, until all thirty participants have entered the ring. At any point in the match, a competitor may be eliminated by pinfall, submission or by being thrown over the top rope with both feet touching the floor. The last person left in the match will be crowned the fifth Freedom Pro Wrestling Champion.
SD: There’s a big advantage to coming out later in this match. The order was randomly determined so I must say I pity the two competitors about to enter this ring.
MW: But in these matches it has been known to win from the first two entrants. It would take a lot of skill and endurance but we know we have wrestlers here who have that in spades. Of course, I’d rather be number thirty, but it doesn’t guarantee a thing. So ladies and gentlemen, let’s reveal our first entrant as we get this gigantic match started.
The lights in the arena drop and the screen displays the foot of wide stone steps, the fans cheering immediately as they realise who the first entrant is. As the cheers and gasps fill the arena, ‘Famous’ begins and the shot pans up the steps to show the Roman pillars in front of a villa, which dissolves into the words ‘House of Botiatus’. Bo emerges through the curtain, his face fully focussed as he surveys the arena before beginning his walk down the ramp, blowing kisses to fans and slapping hands as he approaches the ring, where he climbs onto the apron before ascending to the top turnbuckle and standing with his typical pose. He drops down as the lights return, standing in the ring and looking determinedly back up the ramp.
ENTRANT NUMBER ONE: BOTIATUS
MW: So Botiatus draws number one…
SD: A tough draw but we know he can go. There are a lot of people I’d rather be facing than Bo if I were number two here.
MW: And number two will be…
‘Comedian’s Gallop’ plays and the fans aren’t sure how to react as Jerry Bishop, alone, walks out onto the stage. He bows deeply but comes up quickly as he doesn’t get his usual loud cheers. He looks around the arena for a moment as the fans whisper amongst themselves. Shaking his head, Jerry marches down the ramp, forsaking the usual spring in his step. He slides into the ring and looks at all areas of the arena before turning to Botiatus, who watches him with a neutral expression.
ENTRANT NUMBER TWO: JERRY BISHOP
MW: Well these two must have been favourites for a lot of people going into this match and they’re entering at one and two.
SD: Immediately the likes of Jack Sevren, Marcus Allen Jones and Graham Baker are smiling. By the time they get in we may have lost two serious contenders, or at least they’ll be very tired after being in the match longer than anybody.
MW: Those three could well end up being our next three to enter. We just don’t know.
Match 2: FPW Championship: 30-Person Royal Rumble:
As the bell rings both men come forward quickly, locking up with power. Bo forces Jerry backwards towards the ropes but Jerry manages to switch at the last moment, pushing Bo back and then quickly dropping down and hooking an arm under Bo’s leg, lifting him up and trying to get him over the top rope. The fans gasp as Bo teeters before elbows away at Jerry and causing him to drop back. Jerry reels backwards and Bo charges at him with a shoulder block. Jerry drops to the mat and Bo wastes no time, lifting him up and hooking an arm over him, looking for a vertical suplex. He lifts Jerry but Jerry drops down behind Bo, grips him by the back of the neck and the back of his tights and throwing him over the top rope.
Jerry turns to celebrate but Bo manages to hold on, landing on the ring apron. Hearing the crowd cheering ‘H. O. B.’, Jerry turns, only for Bo to leap up to the top rope and connect with a springboard blockbuster. He makes a cover on Jerry, 1-2-no. Jerry kicks out. Both men are quick to get back to their feet and again they don’t waste any time. Jerry comes forward with a rolling elbow but Bo ducks it and looks to pull Jerry in for an arm stunner. Jerry, however, counters, leaping up onto the middle rope and then coming down with a rebound armdrag. Bo gets up quickly but Jerry grabs hold of him and whips him into the corner, running at him and connecting with a running dropkick. Bo staggers out of the corner and Jerry lands on the apron, preparing himself to leap into the ring to target Bo, when ‘Bury Me with my Guns On’ begins to play.
ENTRANT NUMBER THREE: BRAXTON CABLE.
MW: This is one half of the Dogs of War making his FPW debut tonight!
SD: What a night to debut. Braxton Cable will look to make a big impression after two of FPW’s established stars have started this match in manic fashion.
Cable runs down to the ring just as Jerry leaps up onto the top rope and connects with a springboard forearm to Bo. Cable immediately goes after Bo, stomping a mudhole in him. As Jerry stands, Cable switches his attention to him, landing right hands to knock Jerry back into the corner before hitting a hard lariat and sending Jerry across the ring, following him in and connecting with a bull rush. Jerry staggers out of the corner and Cable pulls him up onto his shoulder, looking for snake eyes. It connects, as several of the fans cheer for Cable’s intense offense, while others remain quiet, waiting to judge him. As Jerry staggers out of the corner, Bo comes out of nowhere to take him down with a House Call.
MW: Botiatus usually uses his own snake eyes to set that up!
SD: Excellent opportunism from Botiatus. A cover now will eliminate Jerry for sure.
Bo looks to make a cover but Cable pulls him onto his shoulder and delivers a running powerslam. Cable covers Bo, 1-2-no. Bo manages to kick out. Cable then turns to see Jerry barely pulling himself up on the ropes. He charges in and grabs Jerry, looking to throw him over the top rope, but Jerry elbows his way free and lands a rolling elbow to send Cable staggering back towards the middle of the ring. Jerry then runs at Cable, who pops him up into the air and takes him in mid-air with a lariat! Bo takes advantage of Cable’s focus on Jerry to grab him by the tights and looks to throw him over the top rope, but Cable resists. With the two of them struggling on the ropes, ‘Turn It On’ begins to play.
ENTRANT NUMBER FOUR: ELIZABETH KARLSON
Karlson comes charging down the ramp and looks to help Bo with Cable straight away, but Cable is too powerful and manages to drop back down, shoving Karlson away and landing a right hand on Bo. He grabs Bo and looks to set him into powerbomb position, but Karlson recovers enough to use Bo to step-up and connect with 3Xf to Cable, who drops instantly. Karlson makes an immediate cover, 1-2-3.
ELIMINATION NUMBER ONE: BRAXTON CABLE (PINFALL, ELIZABETH KARLSON)
As soon as the official counts the three, Bo lifts Karlson off Cable and looks to throw her over the top rope, but she counters, elbowing him in the gut and then taking him down with an exploder suplex. Jerry moves in and looks to pull Karlson in for a bulldog, but she shoves him into the corner and then connects with a German suplex as he backs away. She calls to the crowd as she sets Jerry up for Absolute Fuckery, but he takes her down with a double leg and then flips over for a cover, 1-2-no! Karlson just manages to escape. Both she and Jerry stand but they’re taken out by Bo, who launches himself at them with a double shotgun dropkick. He stands, calls to the fans, and then lifts Karlson, pulling her in for a back suplex. As she lands, The Guardians’ of Strong Style’s music plays and Masa Tchyukiro walks into the arena with his Tag Team Championship belt around his waist.
ENTRANT NUMBER FIVE: MASA TCHYUKIRO
Bo stands and awaits Tchyukiro in the ring but Tchyukiro walks slowly, giving Jerry the time to recover and pulls Bo down into a schoolboy roll-up, 1-2-no! Bo just manages to escape. He and Jerry both make it to their feet but Tchyukiro enters the ring and lands hard chops to both of them, switching between the two as the fans get worked up into a frenzy. With Bo and Jerry both staggering, Tchyukiro grabs each in turn and drops them with headbutts. He then turns to Karlson and whips her into the corner, following her in with a running lariat and then exploding with chops. Karlson drops down to a seated position and Tchyukiro moves away, turning back to Bo and Jerry who are just getting back to their feet.
He runs at Jerry and takes him down with a hard shoulder tackle before looking for a German suplex to Bo, who elbows away at Tchyukiro, but, no matter how many elbows he delivers, he can’t break the grip, and Tchyukiro delivers the German suplex anyway. He takes a while to get to his feet as he shakes off the impact of the elbows, giving Jerry the time to grab him and connect with a running bulldog. This keeps Tchyukiro down for a moment, Jerry turning to Karlson, who is barely standing, and looking to get her over the top rope. She resists for long enough for Bo to stand too. He also joins Jerry in trying to eliminate Karlson, who teeters on the top rope and then finally drops over it, but she manages to land on the apron as Jerry turns away too quickly, assuming she’s been eliminated, and kicks Bo in the gut, looking quickly for a Last Laugh, which Bo counters, lifting Jerry up into a fireman’s carry position and then dropping him on the top rope. As he drops back and stalks him, ‘This Fire Burns’ plays and Danica Jane, with the Freedom Championship over her shoulder, enters.
ENTRANT NUMBER SIX: DANICA JANE
Jane doesn’t get into the ring at first, allowing Bo to charge at Jerry and look for another House Call, only for Jerry to duck, sending Bo into the ropes and then causing him to be popped up by Tchyukiro who drops him with a pop-up headbutt! Jane moves around the side of the ring to where Karlson rests, holding up the Freedom Championship as she catches her eye. Karlson sits up before rolling under the bottom rope and chasing Jane, who is forced to run into the ring. Karlson follows but she’s hit hard with a forearm by Tchyukiro and, stunned, she’s rolled up by Danica Jane, 1-2-3!
ELIMINATION NUMBER TWO: ELIZABETH KARLSON (PINFALL, DANICA JANE)
Karlson stands, shocked as the officials guide her to the ropes to leave the ring. Jane gives her smirk before turning right into Jerry, who kicks her in the gut and looks for Last Laugh, only for Tchyukiro to pull him away and into a German suplex. Tchyukiro then advances on Jane, who backs away into a corner as he advances. He swings for a big chop but she ducks under it and rolls him up as well, 1-2-no! Tchyukiro escapes. Tchyukiro gets to his feet straight away but Bo cuts him off, whirling him around and pulling him in for a Northern Lights suplex, rolling through into a second, where he bridges for a pin, 1-2-no. Tchyukiro manages to kick out. Jane then grabs Bo, pulls him up and looks to throw him over the top rope, but he elbows her away and turns to stare at her as she backs up. As Bo advances, ‘Jumpman’ plays and Russ Bolt comes charging down the ramp.
ENTRANT NUMBER SEVEN: RUSS BOLT
Bolt slides in and immediately begins trading shots with Bo. Bo starts to get the upper hand but Jane joins Bolt and the two of them manage to force Bo back into the corner. Between them, the grab Bo’s legs and look to lift him over the rope. Jerry looks over and sees, joining Bolt and Jane in their efforts. Bo tries to resist but struggles, three of them proving too strong. He ends up seated on the top rope as they try to force his right leg to the outside, but he manages to kick Jane away and land a forearm to stun Jerry. Bo then leaps off the top with a knee strike to send Bolt to the mat and, as he lands, the fans surge behind him.
He turns to Tchyukiro, who aims a running lariat at him, but Bo ducks, taking Tchyukiro down with a dropkick as he rebounds. Bo springs up again and looks to Jane, who rests against the top rope. He charges at her, sending her over the top with a clothesline, but Bolt recovers quickly and manages to slide to the apron, catching Jane before her second foot lands. He pulls her back into the ring but Bo lifts him up and heaves him into his shoulder, hitting him with snake eyes. He then hits the ropes and connects with House Call for a second time in the match, making the cover, 1-2-no! Danica Jane manages to break up the cover. As she does, The Guardians of Strong Style’s music hits again and Hiro Takahara emerges through the curtain.
ENTRANT NUMBER EIGHT: HIRO TAKAHARA
As he walks down to the ring, Jane lifts Bo and connects with Lights Out. He crumples to the mat, Jerry standing and running at Tchyukiro but being taken down by a huge scoop powerslam. Takahara enters and he and Tchyukiro stare down Bolt and Jane. At the same moment, they come forward, Bolt and Jane looking for forearms to Tchyukiro and Takahara, but both of them laugh them off and connect with forearms of their own, sending Bolt and Jane to the mat. Tchyukiro and Takahara then lift Russ Bolt and throw him into the corner, each of them coming in at him and landing alternate chops and kicks respectively. As he drops to a seated position, Takahara backs away and then delivers hard knees right to the head while Tchyukiro lifts Jane.
He pulls her up and then connects with a German suplex, before sitting her up for Takahara to connect with a penalty kick. He then sits her up and Tchyukiro takes her down with a sliding lariat. The fans cheer as The Guardians of Strong Style exert their dominance over Bolt and Jane. Takahara then turns to Jerry and pulls him up. He connects with a mid-kick to take him down and Tchyukiro follows up with a Kokeshi headbutt. The two of them then turn to Bo, who is slowly pulling himself up on the ropes. They both grab him and pull him into the middle of the ring, Tchyukiro whipping him across the ring and delivering a scoop powerslam while Takahara hits the ropes and connects with a penalty kick. As Tchyukiro and Takahara stand, ‘This Fire Burns’ plays for a second time and Clutch McCloud sheepishly enters the arena.
ENTRANT NUMBER NINE: CLUTCH MCCLOUD
MW: I’m not sure anybody back there would want to be coming down the ramp right now.
SD: One of The Guardians of Strong Style is hard enough to handle, but both at the same time? They could eliminate all of these guys and it could come down to just those two.
MW: It wouldn’t surprise me. Most teams you’d say one of them would get greedy and take out the other, but these two have more discipline than that.
SD: This ring is filling up now too. We’ve only seen two eliminations, and both by pinfall. I’d say it’s time to start clearing some of these guys out and Clutch might be the first to go.
Clutch slowly makes his way to the ring but doesn’t get in as both Takahara and Tchyukiro stand waiting for him. He climbs onto the apron and then quickly drops down again as Takahara moves towards him. Clutch backs away up the ramp as Takahara bends down and grabs Russ Bolt, driving a knee into his sternum as he pulls him up before lifting him and throwing him over the top rope.
ELIMINATION NUMBER THREE: RUSS BOLT (HIRO TAKAHARA, OVER THE TOP ROPE)
Clutch stands and watches as Bolt hits the floor. He makes his way towards the ring but Takahara and Tchyukiro both stand and wait, calling him in, so he backs away again. This time, Tchyukiro pulls Danica Jane up and holds her for Takahara. Takahara gets poised to strike and Clutch has no choice. He slides into the ring and he’s met with a barrage of strikes from Takahara and Tchyukiro. They stomp him hard before Tchyukiro connects with another Kokeshi headbutt. Takahara then pulls Clutch to his feet and the Tag Team Champions connect with opposite ropes before crushing Clutch with forearms to the back and front of the head. He crumples to the mat as ‘Fury, Oh Fury’ begins to play, the fans cheering loudly as Go Shihei enters, staring at Takahara and Tchyukiro.
ENTRANT NUMBER TEN: GO SHIHEI
MW: Oh boy!
SD: This could be quite the encounter.
Shihei makes his way down the ramp as Takahara and Tchyukiro lick their lips. However, before he gets to the ring, Danica Jane recovers, hooking an arm under Takahara’s leg and surprising him, sending him over the top rope to the floor.
ELIMINATION NUMBER FOUR: HIRO TAKAHARA (DANICA JANE, OVER THE TOP ROPE)
Tchyukiro immediately turns to Jane and lands a hard chop before whipping her into the opposite ropes and charging at her, taking her down with a devastating running forearm. He makes a cover, 1-2-3.
ELIMINATION NUMBER FIVE: DANICA JANE (MASA TCHYUKIRO, PINFALL)
Tchyukiro stands and stares down Shihei as he enters through the ropes. The two of them meet in the middle of the ring forehead to forehead as the fans cheer loudly, only for Jerry and Clutch to recover and each take one of them down, Clutch with a discus lariat to Shihei and Jerry with a rolling elbow to Tchyukiro. Clutch lays the boots into Shihei while Jerry turns as Bo spins him around and pulls him in for a suplex, twisting before planting him. Bo then stalks Clutch before leaping up and connecting with House Rules. He makes a cover, 1-2-no! Danica Jane places Clutch’s leg on the bottom rope before she turns and walks back up the ramp, Freedom Championship in hand. The fans boo her as Bo stares after her. As he looks to lift Clutch, ‘Justice’ begins to play.
ENTRANT NUMBER ELEVEN: DAVID ARCHER
MW: And here’s the second half of the Dogs of War.
SD: Braxton Cable made quite the impact in the short time he was in this match. Let’s see what David Archer can bring to match Cable’s raw power.
Archer runs down the ramp and slides into the ring, immediately engaging with Bo. The two of them trade punches but Archer gets the better of it, forcing Bo back into the ropes and then whipping him across the ring before taking him down with a spinning roundhouse kick. He turns to Jerry and takes him down with a snap German before connecting with the Gut Shot on Go Shihei. The fans cheer the high velocity offense but Tchyukiro cuts Archer off with a lariat to take him down to the mat. Clutch, recovering from the House Rules, clubs Tchyukiro across the back but Tchyukiro turns, unaffected. He grabs Clutch and throws him into the ropes, taking him down with another shoulder tackle as he rebounds.
Tchyukiro then looks to Go Shihei as he pulls himself up. The fans cheer again as the two men meet in the middle of the ring forehead to forehead. As if given a signal, the two of them suddenly explode into an exchange of forearms, both landing a flurry as neither gives any ground. After a quick-fire exchange, they exchange angry words in a Japanese growl before switching their exchange to chops. Again both men fire a series of rounds at the other but neither gives any ground. With more words being exchanged, Shihei beckons for Tchyukiro to hit the ropes. He does, and the two meet with a bone-rattling collision in the middle of the ring, neither of them giving an inch again. Shihei hits the ropes next, again both men meeting with a huge sound as neither takes a step back. ‘I Still Believe’ interrupts their stare down as Aaron Williams comes into the arena with a big cheer from the crowd.
ENTRANT NUMBER TWELVE: AARON WILLIAMS
MW: And here is another man who many have said is a big time contender in this match.
SD: But it’s another bad spot to come into. Tchyukiro and Shihei will have so much adrenaline coursing through them that anyone other than the other in the ring might now could be decapitated.
Williams slides into the ring and immediately engages with the two Japanese beasts, landing chops to each of them before being taken down by simultaneous chops from Shihei and Tchyukiro. He holds his chest as Tchyukiro goes after Clutch and Shihei Jerry, the two men seemingly coming to an understanding. Tchyukiro lifts Clutch and drags him over to the ropes, looking to get him up and over. He pushes up with his immensely powerful legs and Clutch is about to flip over the rope when Bo comes in and grabs Tchyukiro, dumping him over the rope so both men land on the floor.
ELIMINATION NUMBER SIX: CLUTCH MCCLOUD (BOTIATUS, OVER THE TOP ROPE)
ELIMINATION NUMBER SEVEN: MASA TCHYUKIRO (BOTIATUS, OVER THE TOP ROPE)
Bo reels back after the burst of strength he showed to eliminate both men. He turns to find David Archer facing him and the two men come together, Archer looking for another spinning roundhouse. Bo manages to catch him and spins him round, connecting with an inverted headlock backbreaker before Aaron Williams takes Archer down with a mid-kick. Williams nods to Bo and then turns to Shihei, who lands clubbing lariats in the corner to Jerry. Williams charges at Shihei, landing a huge splash which sends him into Jerry. Williams then runs back into the corner and charges again, hitting a second big splash to Shihei and Jerry. He lands a third before both men drop to a seated position. Williams calls for a cannonball and the fans stand as he charges at them and launches himself with a huge cannonball to both men. ‘Broken Bones’ begins to play as Aiden Balmer emerges from the back.
ENTRANT NUMBER THIRTEEN: AIDEN BALMER
Balmer slides into the ring and Bo looks to cut him off, but Balmer goes low, taking him down with a double leg before driving an elbow into his head. He dismounts, targeting Aaron Williams and connecting with an overhead belly to belly before David Archer cuts him off with a springboard DDT. Archer makes a cover on Balmer, 1-2-no. Balmer manages to kick out. Archer then stands and sees Jerry and Shihei lying prone by the corner. He points to the top rope and the fans cheer for him as he steps between the ropes and then climbs up to the top. He points down and both before coming off with the Star City Press, connecting with both men.
It takes him a few moments to recover before he can crawl over and make a cover, by which time Jerry has rolled too close to the ropes. He makes the cover on Shihei, 1-2-no- as he’s making the cover Aaron Williams is being lifted up by Aiden Balmer, who powerbombs him onto Archer to inadvertently break up the cover. Balmer then pulls Archer to his feet and lifts him for a powerbomb as well. He turns, seeing Botiatus getting to his feet, and takes him down with a third powerbomb. Balmer then stalks Shihei, setting him up for a powerbomb, but Shihei refuses to be lifted. Balmer tries to club Shihei across the back, but Shihei shoves him away and then pulls him in for a huge powerbomb of his own, dropping down to the mat with exhaustion. ‘Checkmate’ rings out throughout the arena with everyone in the ring down, and Artemis Evans, Dead Man’s Chest in hand, makes her way to the ring.
ENTRANT NUMBER FOURTEEN: ARTEMIS EVANS
MW: Another favourite.
SD: Another person who deserved to be given the FPW Championship. She’s the Dead Man’s Chest holder for crying out loud.
MW: She may well be, but she hasn’t earned the FPW Championship.
SD: Not yet she hasn’t. But she will.
Evans slides into the ring and quickly makes a cover on Balmer, 1-2-no. Balmer kick out. She then drags Jerry away from the ropes and covers him as well, 1-2-no. Jerry also kicks out. Evans turns to see Bo slowly getting to his feet and she delivers a butterfly suplex to take him back down. As Evans stands back up, Go Shihei moves towards her and grabs her by the head. She swats away his arm and connects with a knee to his gut, then taking him down with an axe kick before posing for the fans as they boo her. David Archer stands but Evans pulls him in for an inverted STO, making a cover, 1-2-no. Archer kicks out.
Evans then stands, surveying the bodies around her in the ring. She grabs Botiatus and pulls him to his feet as he shows the echaustion of having been in the ring for almost thirty minutes. She pushes him into the ropes and looks to lift him up and over, but he drops his centre of gravity low and doesn’t allow her to get him up. Instead, she looks to set him up for the Guillotine Strike, but he turns, countering into a Northern Lights suplex and bridging for a cover, 1-2-no. Evans kicks out but takes a moment to get to her feet. As she does, she’s taken down from behind with a Russian leg sweep from Jerry Bishop, who turns to the ramp as ‘This Means War’ begins to play.
ENTRANT NUMBER FIFTEEN: BOBBY O
MW: Now this is interesting!
SD: We’re half way through our entrants and what a moment to witness. Bobby O and the man who rejected him standing face to face.
MW: And here comes Bobby!
Bobby comes charging down to the ring and slides in. Jerry readies himself but doesn’t throw the first punch, instead just staring at Bobby as Bobby looks deep into his eyes. The two men stand like that for a moment before Go Shihei charges at both of them and takes them down with a shoulder tackle. The fans boo but Shihei doesn’t waste any time, turning and pulling up David Archer. He lifts him into position and delivers the Dead Man’s Bomb, holding for the cover, 1-2-3.
ELIMINATION NUMBER EIGHT: DAVID ARCHER (GO SHIHEI, PINFALL)
Shihei stands, a little groggy, and then turns as Aiden Balmer stands too. Shihei charges at Balmer but Balmer ducks the attempted lariat, sending Shihei into the corner. Balmer then unloads a series of punches to Shihei before allowing him to stagger out of the corner, leaping up onto the middle rope and delivering a springboard crossbody, holding for the cover, 1-2-no. Shihei kicks out. Balmer stands and looks to lift Shihei but Bobby grabs him from behind and spins him around, connecting with a series of jabs before lifting him onto his shoulders and delivering a fireman’s carry stunner to send Balmer into the corner. Bobby follows him in when ‘Broken Bones’ plays again and George Mercer charges down to the ring.
ENTRANT NUMBER SIXTEEN: GEORGE MERCER
Mercer immediately goes after Bobby O, spinning him round and taking him down with a big clothesline. He checks on Balmer and the two of them turn to the others. They take Evans down with a double clothesline, and then do the same to Jerry. Seeing Botiatus resting on the ropes, they charge at him and look to do the same, but Bo ducks and lifts both of them over the top rope.
ELIMINATION NUMBER NINE: AIDEN BALMER (BOTIATUS, OVER THE TOP ROPE)
ELIMINATION NUMBER TEN: GEORGE MERCER (BOTIATUS, OVER THE TOP ROPE)
Bo drops to a knee and is immediately hit with a buzzsaw kick from Aaron Williams. Williams turns to find Bobby O about to stand and he looks to pull him in for a suplex, but Bobby drives a knee into Williams’ gut and connects with a DDT. He goes to cover Williams but he’s taken down with a snap DDT from Artemis Evans, who stands only for Go Shihei to charge at her and take her down with a huge lariat. Shihei then turns only to be kicked in the gut by Jerry Bishop, who takes him down with a Last Laugh. Jerry is about to make a cover when he hears ‘The Feast and the Famine’. After a moment of confusion, the fans explode as they see Adam Thompson standing at the top of the ramp.
ENTRANT NUMBER SEVENTEEN: ADAM THOMPSON
MW: My God I don’t believe my eyes!
SD: The first ever FPW Champion. Adam Thompson. The Pendragon. He’s here!
MW: I didn’t think we’d ever see Adam Thompson again. But here he stands in an FPW arena. And he’s coming for the FPW Championship once again!
Thompson enters the ring and immediately takes Jerry down with a Diamond Cutter. Botiatus stands and comes at Thompson but he’s met with an elbow strike to the face and a vertical suplex. Williams stands and comes at Thompson but he’s stopped straight away with a spinebuster. As Bobby stands, Thompson runs at him. Bobby ducks a clothesline but Thompson comes back at him with a slingblade. Shihei stands and Thompson stalks him, lifting him onto his shoulders for Excalibur. He hits it, but Evans grabs him before he can make a cover and throws him over the top rope… only for Thompson to hold on! He takes Evans down with a big time right hand and then climbs up to the top rope. Looking down at Evans, he connects with a perfect top rope elbow drop and holds for a cover, 1-2-no. Evans kicks out.
Thompson then stands but Jerry pulls him in and connects with a running bulldog. As Thompson recovers, Jerry hits a parallel snapmare and then hits the ropes, completing the Touchstone Takedown to, once again, very few if any cheers. He covers Thompson, 1-2-no. Thompson kicks out. Jerry looks to pull Thompson up and trap his arms, but Bobby O leaps up and cuts him off with an RKO! The fans cheer as Bobby looks down at Jerry, but their cheers soon stop when Bobby can’t bring himself to make the cover. Instead he turns to Bo and looks to lift him over the top rope, but Bo is a dead weight and it takes Bobby a huge amount of effort to even lift him. As he tries, ‘White Knuckles’ begins to play, and James Saturn swaggers onto the entrance ramp, booed as he does.
ENTRANT NUMBER EIGHTEEN: JAMES SATURN
Saturn slowly makes his way to the ring as Bobby gives up on lifting Bo over the top rope. Instead he turns to Go Shihei, driving him into the corner with jabs before looking to lift him up. Saturn steps into the ring and quickly takes Evans down with a superkick. Instead of making a cover, he turns to Adam Thompson, who is just pulling himself up, and stalks him. He looks for a superkick, but Thompson blocks it, pulling Saturn up for a powerbomb, only for Saturn to counter with a hurricanrana roll-up, 1-2-no! Thompson just manages to escape. Meanwhile, Shihei shoves Bobby away and charges at him, taking him down with a hard running lariat.
Saturn then connects with a superkick to take down Shihei before Williams aims a mid-kick at him. Saturn manages to duck, aiming another superkick at Williams, who also ducks. Williams pulls Saturn into position for a vertical suplex, but Saturn drives a knee into Williams’ head and drops down behind him. Williams staggers forward and Saturn connects with a running knee to the back of his head. He makes a cover, 1-2-no! Williams just gets a shoulder up. As Saturn stands, Thompson looks to hook him for a dragon suplex, but Saturn flips out of it and runs up the turnbuckles, taking Thompson down with a version of the Saturnsault. ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ plays and Saturn stands, looking at the entranceway as Vanessa Scott walks out.
ENTRANT NUMBER NINETEEN: VANESSA SCOTT
Scott stands and goes through her usual array of poses as James Saturn admires her from inside the ring. As she slowly walks down the ramp, he keeps his eyes on her, so much so that Bo is able to reach up and roll him up, 1-2-no! Saturn barely escapes. He and Bo both stand and Bo manages to get the first shot in by ducking a right hand and connecting with an inverted headlock backbreaker. Saturn staggers forward and Scott, having just got onto the apron, quickly climbs the turnbuckles and takes Saturn down with a leg drop bulldog. She then turns to Bo and starts to make eyes at him, but Bo ignores them, pulling her in and looking for snake eyes.
Scott, however, manages to free herself and she takes Bo down with a Butterface Maker. She then stalks him but is taken down by a German suplex from Bobby O. Bobby stands and looks across the ring as Jerry also stands. The two of them lock eyes for a moment before both of them start to come forward. As they do, Williams tries to cut off Bobby but he’s taken down with a quick RKO and Shihei tries to cut off Jerry, but he’s taken down with a Last Laugh. Jerry and Bobby meet in the middle of the ring and the two of them begin to unload, each aiming forearms and Jerry managing to push Bobby back. He sends him into the corner and quickly looks to get him over the top rope. Bobby, however, drives an elbow into Jerry’s face and the two continue to brawl as ‘Afterlife’ heralds the arrival of Jace Mason.
ENTRANT NUMBER TWENTY: JACE MASON
MW: Now here is another one of the favourites for this match.
SD: But how can Mason win? Who would he face at Judgement Day?
MW: I don’t know. We’ve never had this situation before in FPW so I think a few of us are learning on the job so to speak.
SD: Making it up as we go along may be more appropriate.
MW: That’s another way to put it.
Mason makes his way down to the ring and immediately pulls Bobby away from Jerry, ducking a back elbow strike and landing a superkick to the gut followed by an STO. He then connects with a falcon arrow to Jerry before turning into Adam Thompson. Thompson pulls Mason in and looks for a vertical suplex, but Mason drops down behind him and spins him around. He lands a spinning kick to the gut before kicking his leg out and hitting the ropes, looking for a dropkick but being cut off by Go Shihei, who lands a huge big boot. Shihei then turns to find Artemis Evans setting him up for a Guillotine Strike, but he overpowers her, lifting her onto his shoulder and moving over to the top rope. Evans tries to resists but Shihei dumps her over the top rope and down to the floor.
ELIMINATION NUMBER ELEVEN: ARTEMIS EVANS (GO SHIHEI, OVER THE TOP ROPE)
Shihei turns to see Botiatus pulling himself up again. He runs at him, looking to send him over the top as well, but Bo ducks and tries to lift Shihei over like he did with Balmer and Mercer. Shihei stops himself and Bo adapts, leaping up and connecting with House Rules. However, before he can make the cover, Saturn grabs him and looks to throw him over the top rope. Bo’s feet slip off the apron, but he catches the rope as Saturn, not realising that Bo has held on, climbs to the top rope and looks for a Saturnsault to Shihei. Bo skins the cat, getting back into the ring, as Saturn leaps, only for Williams to catch him into a tombstone piledriver! The ring is full of bodies with nobody on their feet as staccato gunshots echo around the arena. Graham Baker emerges with Kate Mustang.
ENTRANT NUMBER TWENTY-ONE: GRAHAM BAKER
MW: What a time for Baker to enter.
SD: If you ask me, he’s the second favourite for this match behind Jack Sevren.
MW: We now have two former FPW Champions in the ring with Baker and Thompson and we know one more will be arriving at some point soon.
Baker enters the ring and quickly goes to work, pulling Bobby O to his feet and looking to toss him over the top rope. Bobby manages to hold on and he resists. Meanwhile, Aaron Williams stands and turns right into Adam Thompson, who lifts him onto his shoulders and delivers Excalibur. He makes the cover, 1-2-3.
ELIMINATION NUMBER TWELVE: AARON WILLIAMS (PINFALL, ADAM THOMPSON)
Baker hears the count being made and turns to stand eye to eye with Adam Thompson. The crowd begins to tingle as the two men face off, Baker asking Thompson what he thinks he’s doing coming back. Thompson merely replies to remind Baker that there was one man he never managed to beat. The two of them then explode into right hands, neither man giving for a whole but Thompson’s relentless striking becoming too much as he forces Baker back towards the ropes. Meanwhile, Jace Mason stands and faces off with Go Shihei, who comes at him with a lariat, only for Mason to counter it into Extra Credit, making the cover, 1-2-3.
ELIMINATION NUMBER THIRTEEN: GO SHIHEI (PINFALL, JACE MASON)
With Thompson trying to lift Baker over the top and Bobby O just recovering, ’15 Minutes’ begins to play and the fans boo as Jack Sevren emerges through the curtain.
ENTRANT NUMBER TWENTY-TWO: JACK SEVREN
Sevren walks calmly to the ring as Bobby stands and stares at him. He climbs into the ring and he and Bobby lock eyes before Bobby charges at him and unleashes a volley of right hands. Sevren can only cover up as Bobby begins to unload, but, from behind, George Jackson and Sara Daniels slide into the ring and pull Bobby off Sevren. They hold Bobby while Sevren connects with a low blow to send him down. Mason looks to engage with Sevren but Jackson takes him down. Botiatus pulls himself up and Sevren orders Jackson and Daniels to send him over the top rope, only for Bo to pull the rope down as both of them land hard on the outside.
Sevren then goes to Bo and drives a knee into his gut before lifting him for a tombstone piledriver. He connects and makes the cover, 1-2-no! Bobby dives at Sevren and stops him from eliminating Bo. Sevren stares at Bobby and asks him why he did something to stupid, but Bobby lands more right hands to Sevren. Sevren covers up and then rolls under the bottom rope. Bobby is about to follow when he’s cut off by a recovering Jerry Bishop, who drops him quickly with a Last Laugh. Jerry then turns into a ‘Nessa Knows Best before Vanessa Scott is blindsided by a superkick from James Saturn. As Saturn looks to lift a recovering Mason over the top rope, ‘Killing in the Name Of’ hits and Haych charges down to ringside.
ENTRANT NUMBER TWENTY-THREE: HAYCH
MW: What’s going on here? Sevren and Haych, not to mention Jackson and Daniels, who aren’t even in this match, are waiting on the outside.
SD: I wonder who they might be waiting for?
MW: Well, I’m sure we all know the answer to that. Why not-
SD: Because it makes sense. The ring is busy. Get the five of them in there and they control this match. Why risk getting involved before TakeOver has the biggest possible advantage?
In the ring, Mason manages to elbow Saturn away from him but he turns into an RKO from Bobby. Bobby doesn’t go for the cover however. Instead he lifts Jerry and looks him in the eyes. Bobby then tears at Jerry’s mask, ripping a gigantic hole in it as he yells that Jerry doesn’t deserve to wear it anymore. Jerry covers over his face with his hands and Bobby quickly tosses him over the top rope, Jerry backing away up the ramp while he covers up his face.
ELIMINATION NUMBER FOURTEEN: JERRY BISHOP (BOBBY O, OVER THE TOP ROPE)
Graham Baker stands in the middle of the ring and watches as James Saturn gets to his feet. He moves quickly to grab Saturn by the trunks and move him over to the ropes, but Saturn counters, grabbing Baker’s arm and twisting it, then leaping onto the top rope and quickly leaping down with a chop. Baker drops to the mat and Saturn looks to take down Bobby with another superkick, only for Bobby to duck and then drive Saturn into the corner. As he does, ‘Walk’ begins to play and, just like with Thompson, the fans take a moment to process it before they burst into loud cheers as Tommy Storm enters the arena.
ENTRANT NUMBER TWENTY-FOUR: TOMMY STORM
MW: Tommy Storm! The King of Xtreme!
SD: I get why Thompson was here- he’s a former FPW Champion- but this guy? He’s a loser!
MW: Have you not got over that yet?
SD: I’ll never get over having to sit here and watch this guy.
Tommy Storm runs down to ring and slides in, taking Vanessa Scott down with a superkick before a pump kick levels Graham Baker. He moves over to Bobby and Saturn, who by now are positioned on the middle rope and are exchanging shots, Bobby getting the advantage and hooking an arm over Saturn as he looks for a superplex. Storm gets up onto the middle rope and hooks his arms around Bobby’s waist before connecting with a German suplex to Bobby as he connects with a superplex to Saturn. The fans let out a loud ‘Tommy, Tommy, Tommy fucking Storm’ chant as Storm stands and pumps them up.
Storm then turns to Botiatus and looks down at him. Bo pulls himself up and the two stare each other down for a few moments before Storm looks to move in, hooking an arm over Bo as he looks for Eliminator. Bo, however, pulls him down into a small package, 1-2-no! Storm just escapes. The two scramble to their feet and Bo looks for a knee strike but Storm blocks it and pulls him in for a big time belly to belly suplex. Storm then stands again and looks across the ring at Jace Mason, who leaps off the middle rope and takes him down with a disaster kick. Mason makes a cover, 1-2-no. Storm kicks out. As he does, ‘Whatever’ plays and fans react in shock as Edward Dessius comes onto the stage carrying a kendo stick wrapped in barbed wire!
ENTRANT NUMBER TWENTY-FIVE: EDWARD DESSIUS
MW: Our former Hardcore Champion!
SD: Now we’re talking!
MW: And he’s making a beeline straight for the ring with that barbed-wire wrapped kendo stick.
Dessius slides into the ring and takes Mason down with a shot to the head. He does the same to Thompson before striking Saturn across the back. Vanessa Scott stands and tries to use her womanly charm on Dessius but he strikes her in the stomach and then in the back too. Dessius then turns to see Graham Baker facing him across the ring, himself having been handed a kendo stick by Kate Mustang. The two of them exchange swings of the kendo sticks, brandishing them like swords, before Tommy Storm reaches down and pulls out his own kendo stick, standing as the three men circle one another in the middle of the ring.
Dessius lets out a scream and swings the kendo stick at Storm hitting him hard but leaving himself open for a brutal shot from Baker. Baker doubles Dessius over and then wrenches the barbed wire kendo stick out of his hands, positioning himself behind Dessius before jamming the barbed wire stick into Dessius’ mouth. The fans gasp in horror as Baker pulls back, blood already coming from Edward Dessius’ mouth. Baker finally releases him and then swings the kendo stick at Bobby, who ducks, driving Baker down with an RKO. As he does, we hear ‘Broken Bones’ for the third time that night, Mary Downing stepping through the curtain.
ENTRANT NUMBER TWENTY-SIX: MARY DOWNING
Downing enters the ring only to be immediately cut off with another RKO from Bobby. He makes a cover on her, 1-2-no! Sevren pulls Bobby out of the ring and Daniels and Jackson immediately go to town on him as Haych holds him up. They lay into him with hard kicks and punches, Bobby getting busted open fairly quickly. In the ring, Tommy Storm stands and moves over to Adam Thompson, driving a knee into his gut before dropping him with Eliminator. Before he can make the cover, James Saturn hooks him and tries to throw him over the top, but Storm resists and looks for Eliminator on Saturn too. Saturn twists free and takes Storm down with a superkick, only for Botiatus to take Saturn down and lock him in ADT.
Saturn writhes in pain and looks close to tapping when, all of a sudden, Vanessa Scott tries to connect with a Scott Shot to Mary Downing as she recovers and sends her into Botiatus, breaking his grip. Scott stands and looks to cover Downing, but Bo, angry, pulls her up and drives her into the corner before lifting her and connecting with snake eyes. Wearily, he hits the ropes and goes for House Call, only to be taken out partway across the ring by Extra Credit from Mason! Mason rolls into a cover, 1-2-no! Again the pinfall is accidentally broken up as Thompson takes Dessius down with a right hand and he lands on top of Mason. Thompson then reaches down to pull up Dessius when ‘The Entertainer’ plays and Berry Bishop makes her way down the ramp.
ENTRANT NUMBER TWENTY-SEVEN: BERRY BISHOP
Instead of entering the ring, she moves around to the outside, taking George Jackson down with Checkmate before ducking a kick from Sara Daniels and hitting a Berry Buster. Haych comes at her but she connects with a second Checkmate before Sevren backs away. Berry lifts Bobby and helps him back into the ring before following herself. As she stands, she’s engaged by Jace Mason, eager to get one over on Berry after she’s beaten him three times this year. He lands a kick to the gut and looks to lift her for a vertical suplex, but she drops down behind him and connects with a Stratusfaction bulldog with the help of the middle rope.
Berry then gets to her feet and takes down Mary Downing with a roundhouse kick before ducking a lariat thrown by Thompson and taking him down with an arm drag. She then springs off his back to launch herself at Dessius, who she takes down with a monkey flip before Graham Baker lands a hard running knee to take Berry down before she can get to her feet. He pulls her up and whips her hard across the ring into the opposite corner. As she staggers out, he runs at her and connects with a shotgun dropkick which sends Berry back-first into the turnbuckles. Baker then looks to lift her onto his shoulders when ‘Killing in the Name Of’ hits again, and Jackson, Daniels, Sevren and Haych hit the ring as Dario charges down the ramp.
ENTRANT NUMBVER TWENTY-EIGHT: DARIO
SD: Here we go!
MW: TakeOver have stormed into this ring. These guys have no chance against five fresh wrestlers, two of whom aren’t even in the match!
SD: TakeOver 2.0 always has a plan, and, once again, this one is genius.
Haych pops Tommy Storm up and Dario leaps off the top, the two connecting with War Game as Dario makes the cover, 1-2-3.
ELIMINATION NUMBER FIFTEEN: TOMMY STORM (DARIO, PINFALL)
Meanwhile, Jackson and Daniels lift up James Saturn and Sevren pulls him in for a tombstone piledriver, making the cover, 1-2-3.
ELIMINATION NUMBER SIXTEEN: JAMES SATURN (JACK SEVREN, PINFALL)
Adam Thompson recovers and charges at Daniels and Jackson, but he’s cut off by a big boot from Haych. Daniels and Jackson lift him send him into the ropes, Haych following him in and clotheslining him over the top.
ELIMINATION NUMBER SEVENTEEN: ADAM THOMPSON (HAYCH, OVER THE TOP ROPE)
Edward Dessius, blood trickling steadily from his mouth, aims a shot with the kendo stick at Sevren, who blocks it, connects with a low blow and pulls Dessius in for a bridging German suplex, 1-2-3.
ELIMINATION NUMBER EIGHTEEN: EDWARD DESSIUS (JACK SEVREN, PINFALL)
At that moment, Bobby O stands on wobbly legs. He aims a right hand at Haych, but Haych blocks it easily. He then aims one at Dario but it misses by a long way. TakeOver surround him, laughing at his wild slashes as he staggers around the ring. Haych takes him down with a clothesline and they all put the boots into him, the fans booing loudly as TakeOver beat Bobby down. Together, the five of them lift him up and bring him over to the ropes, throwing him over and eliminating him just as ‘Dance of the Knights’ signals MDE’s arrival.
ELIMINATION NUMBER NINETEEN: BOBBY O (TAKEOVER, OVER THE TOP ROPE)
ENTRANT NUMBER TWENTY-NINE: MDE
MDE walks slowly down the ramp, showing no interest in hurrying to the ring to fight against TakeOver. In the ring, Haych lifts Vanessa Scott over his shoulders in a gorilla press position before walking her over to the ropes and dropping her to the outside.
ELIMINATION NUMBER TWENTY: VANESSA SCOTT (HAYCH, OVER THE TOP ROPE)
TakeOver turn, looking at the rest of the competitors down in the ring. They stare down MDE as he stands on the outside, not getting into the ring, but, all of a sudden, Jace Mason manages to recover along with Botiatus and Berry Bishop. The three of them jump TakeOver, sending Jackson and Daniels to the outside before Bo takes down Sevren with a House Rules before he collapses. Mason ducks an attempted clothesline by Haych and then gives him one of his own, sending him over the top rope.
ELIMINATION NUMBER TWENTY-ONE: HAYCH (JACE MASON, OVER THE TOP ROPE)
Dario then leaps at Mason with a leg lariat, but Mason catches him and turns it into a single leg Boston crab. Dario resists for a few moments before finally succumbing, tapping out.
ELIMINATION NUMBER TWENTY-TWO: DARIO (JACE MASON, SUBMISSION)
The crowd’s cheers are cut short however as Jack Sevren recovers and quickly grabs Mason by the back of the tights before throwing him over the top rope to the outside.
ELIMINATION NUMBER TWENTY-THREE: JACE MASON (JACK SEVREN, OVER THE TOP ROPE)
Sevren turns to survey the damage as ‘Cult of Personality’ begins to play. The fans explode as Marcus Allen Jones enters and stares down Sevren from the top of the ramp.
ENTRANT NUMBER THIRTY: MARCUS ALLEN JONES
MW: Here we go!
SD: We have our final entrant. One of these competitors will become the next FPW Champion!
MW: I’m not sure Marcus has that on his mind right now. He’s going straight for Jack Sevren!
Marcus slides into the ring and he and Sevren exchange right hands at a very quick pace, Marcus forcing Sevren back before whipping him across the ring and then taking him down with a superkick. On the outside, Jace Mason, Tommy Storm and Adam Thompson lay into the rest of TakeOver, forcing them to retreat and leaving Sevren in there by himself. As Marcus stalks Sevren, MDE slides into the ring and grabs him from behind, the fans booing as he takes Marcus down with a German suplex. MDE stands but Botiatus charges at him and takes him down with House Call, but he’s blindsided by Mary Downing, who forces him into the ropes. All of a sudden, Balmer and Mercer emerge through the crowd and leap onto the apron, helping Downing to get Bo over the top rope.
ELIMINATION NUMBER TWENTY-FOUR: BOTIATUS (MARY DOWNING, OVER THE TOP ROPE)
MW: Bo lasted for so long!
SD: But now he’s gone.
MW: Aiden Balmer and George Mercer getting some revenge for their eliminations. And now they’re laying into Botiatus on the outside.
In the ring, Downing turns right into Graham Baker as he scoops her up and connects with v a Mustang Driver, making the cover, 1-2-3.
ELIMINATION NUMBER TWENTY-FIVE: MARY DOWNING (GRAHAM BAKER, PINFALL)
MW: And now we have five remaining competitors.
SD: Graham Baker, Jack Sevren, Berry Bishop, MDE and Marcus Allen Jones. One of those five competitors will be the next- the fifth- FPW Champion.
MW: I can’t call this! Any of these five could be our next champion.
SD: I know who I’m backing.
MW: Even without the rest of TakeOver?
SD: I think so!
Baker, MDE, Berry, Sevren and Marcus all stand, staring each other down in the ring. All of a sudden, Marcus dives at Sevren and Berry at MDE, leaving Baker without a dance partner. As Marcus gets the upper hand on Sevren, Baker grabs him from behind and throws him over the top rope! But Marcus manages to hold on! He grabs the rope and slides back underneath, but Sevren and Baker are waiting for him. Sevren pulls him up and looks for a tombstone, but Marcus wriggles himself free, only for Baker to grab his legs and get him into perfect position for a Mustang Driver, driving him into the mat. Baker makes a cover, 1-2-no! Marcus kicks out.
Sevren then looks to take advantage of Baker’s momentary shock, lifting him and trying to get him over the top rope. Baker, however, elbows his way free. He turns to go back to Marcus only to find himself getting hit with Checkmate! Berry drops down and makes the cover as Sevren watches, 1-2-no! Baker kicks out!
MW: I don’t believe that!
SD: I think he might be the first to kick out of Checkmate!
Sevren now tries to take advantage of Berry being surprised, pulling her up and looking for a tombstone. Berry, however, drops down behind him and sends him into the ropes, coiling herself for Checkmate again. Sevren manages to catch the top rope but, out of nowhere, Marcus charges at him and clotheslines him out of the ring!
ELIMINATION NUMBER TWENTY-SIX: JACK SEVREN (MARCUS ALLEN JONES, OVER THE TOP ROPE)
Marcus turns to find MDE immediately onto him, trying to get him over the top. Berry, however, comes right after MDE, landing hard kicks to his back before whipping him around and looking for a Berry Buster. MDE drops his centre of gravity and MDE can’t lift him, so he connects with a DDT to take her down. MDE rolls her over to make a cover, but Baker pulls him off her. MDE stands and he and Baker lock eyes, staring each other down as the fans buzz once again. Baker aims a right hand at MDE, who ducks, looking to take Baker down with a German. Baker flips out and lands on his feet and, as MDE stands, he sends him into the corner with a shotgun dropkick.
MDE hits the turnbuckles hard and Baker follows him in with a double knee strike as MDE slumps down. Baker then turns to see Marcus staring him down and the two come together again. Marcus aims a right hand, but Baker ducks it, pulling Marcus up onto his shoulders. Marcus, however, manages to drop down and he traps Baker’s arm, looking for Six Stars. He leaps for the knee but Baker somehow counters to get Marcus back onto his shoulders, delivering a second Mustang Driver. Baker makes the cover, 1-2-no! Marcus just gets a shoulder off the mat.
MW: I don’t believe it!
SD: Marcus has kicked out of two Mustang Drivers!
MW: There are still four of them in this one.
SD: And here comes one of them.
Berry pulls Baker up and looks to send him towards the ropes. She hooks an arm under his legs and tries to lever him over the rope, getting him off his feet. Baker drives an elbow into her head but she doesn’t break her grip, instead driving harder. Baker slowly gets closer and closer to elimination, finally dropping over the top rope, but catching himself on the apron. Berry backs away and coils herself, the fans standing as they see what’s about to happen. Berry aims Checkmate, but Baker ducks under it and MDE moves in, pulling Berry into a German suplex as Baker drops to the apron and rolls back into the ring.
MDE pulls Berry up and sets her up for a Triple Gutwrench, hitting the gutbuster and then the gutwrench suplex. He floats over and looks to lift Berry, but she resists. MDE is quick to transition, trapping her right arm and then looking to pull back her left to lock in the Simply Great Stretch, only for Berry to push back with her legs and roll MDE onto his back for a cover, 1-2-no! MDE barely survives. Berry rolls away and tries to pull herself up, but Marcus cuts her off, pulling her in for Six Stars. He traps the arm and spins her out, pulling her in and delivering the knee strike. As she drops to the mat, he goes to make the cover but Baker grabs him from behind and looks to send him over the top rope. Marcus, however, counters, switching their positions and sending Baker to the outside instead.
ELIMINATION NUMBER TWENTY-SEVEN: GRAHAM BAKER
MW: And now Baker is eliminated
SD: We’re down to three!
MW: MDE. Berry Bishop. Marcus Allen Jones. One of these three will be the fifth FPW Champion.
SD: But which one?
MW: I don’t know any more than you do!
Marcus looks down for a moment and allows himself a brief smile as he sees Baker on the outside staring up at him, but it costs him. Berry grabs him from behind and sends him over the top to follow Baker.
ELIMINATION NUMBER TWENTY-EIGHT: MARCUS ALLEN JONES
MW: And now there are two!
SD: Marcus Allen Jones has never beaten Graham Baker. He revelled in this moment a little too long and it cost him everything.
MW: But he’s outside the ring. We’ve got two left and one will become champion.
SD: And it had to come down to these two with their history!
MW: There’s a lot of bad blood in that ring right now after what MDE did to Berry Bishop and how he’s changed her brother so much. She can’t be happy about that either. And now she can take him out of this match and become FPW Champion!
SD: Or MDE can prove that he’s the man who’s right once again and take the FPW Championship after all this time!
Berry turns and looks at MDE, who pulls himself up from the corner. Berry breathes deeply as she stares into his eyes, while MDE returns her gaze with a slight smirk. The two of them come together in the middle of the ring and Berry is quick to aim a kick at MDE, which he catches, pulling her up onto his shoulders for a powerbomb. Berry, however, grabs the top rope and tries to lever MDE over. MDE, sensing what she’s looking to do, releases her legs and steps away, quickly coming back in to try and send Berry over the rope. She hugs the rope desperately, refusing to release her grip. As MDE tries to get better position, Berry kicks out at his leg and causes him to drop to one knee. She takes her chance and shifts position, springing off the middle rope and connecting with a disaster kick. She makes a cover, 1-2-no. MDE kicks out.
Berry is quick to get to her feet, stalking MDE. He gets on one knee and she charges at him, connecting with a shining wizard and making a cover, hooking both legs, 1-2-no! MDE gets a shoulder up. Berry stands, watching MDE with a hawk-like focus. MDE pulls himself up to his feet and Berry moves in, pulling him into a parallel snapmare. She hits the ropes and completes the Touchstone Takedown, this time to huge cheers. She makes another cover, 1-2-no! MDE barely gets a shoulder up again.
MW: Berry is so close to winning the title!
SD: But she hasn’t won it yet. MDE is still in this match.
MW: But not for long if Berry hits this!
Berry coils herself and stands waiting for MDE to get to his feet. As he turns, she unleashes Checkmate, but he ducks, grabbing the leg. He grabs Berry’s other leg and hooks her up onto his shoulders, moving her over to the top rope. But Berry grabs the rope and tries to force MDE over instead. He teeters, coming off his feet as she uses her legs to force him over. MDE’s head starts to drop to the outside as the fans urge Berry on. She almost has the match won but MDE manages to get himself back onto the apron as Berry also drops. With both of them lying on the apron, they both pull themselves up on the ropes. Berry lands a kick to MDE’s leg, but he stays standing. She aims another, but he uses the ropes to push himself up and avoids the kick. Berry staggers, and MDE sweeps her leg. Berry’s feet leave the apron for a moment but she grabs the bottom rope and gets one foot back on the apron. MDE quickly gets back into the ring and kicks away at Berry’s hands, trying to break her grip. The fans urge Berry to hold on but her grip gets weaker and weaker, one hand coming off the rope as MDE continues to drive his foot into her. Finally, with a disappointed gasp from the fans, Berry’s grip fails and she drops, both feet hitting the floor.
ELIMINATION NUMBER TWENTY-NINE: BERRY BISHOP
WINNER AND NEW FPW CHAMPION: MDE
MW: MDE wins the FPW Championship!
SD: Yes! Finally! This is the MDE we’ve been waiting to see.
MW: These fans look devastated after Berry Bishop came so close but the new FPW Champion is the man standing in the middle of that ring and it isn’t Berry.
SD: It isn’t. It’s the man who’s transforming her brother’s career. MDE is the fifth FPW Champion!
MDE rests on his knees as the official brings the FPW Championship into the ring. He grabs the belt from the official and raises it above his head before cradling it to his chest and then looking up with a smug grin on his face. He pushes himself up to his feet as the fans boo him. The show closes with MDE standing on the middle rope holding up the FPW Championship as Berry Bishop looks up at him, a tear in her eye.
