The Secret of the Ooze Match Promos

Jim Houston sits in his office, dressed in his usual suit and tie, with a smile painted onto his face.

"Hello and welcome to freedomprowrestling.com. My name is Jim Houston and I a man your Freedom Pro Wrestling general manager. Today I come to you to make an announcement for the card for FPW and The Secret of the Ooze. In this past week, we've seen significant goings on on Sixty Minutes of Freedom, with two teams debuting, including the impressive Guardians of Strong Style, as well as an equally impressive performance from The Renegades, who came so close to unseating Bobby O and Jack Sevren at Cruise Control. Perhaps most interesting though was the encounter between Marcus Allen Jones, Azazel and Graham Baker. As we know, Marcus Allen Joneswill be defending the FPW Championship against Azazel in the main event;yes, Marcus, you will be in the main event this time round.

"We also know that Graham Baker will defend his Hardcore Championship against Tommy Storm, who is still yet to respond to Baker's challenge. So, with a desire to ensure maximum possible interest, I can confirm that the match will indeed take place under traditional Japanese deathmatch rules. Now, I wish to address a question I have received from several of you in the past week. In this match, Graham Baker's FPW Championship contract will not be on the line. However, this does not preclude that contract from being defended at our next show: Dead Man's Chest. In fact, I fully expect Azazel or Adam Thompson to look to take the briefcase from Graham Baker, depending on results to come of course.

"I also announced that we would be seeing Clutch McCloud and Jerry Bishop have a Free-1 rematch with the right to challenge for the FPW Championship on the line. That is a match I fully expect to steal the show. We also see The Queendom in action, facing off against James Saturn and two partners of his choosing. James is yet to select his partners, so the offer remains on the table. James- make sure you find somebody from somewhere before the show.

"As for the rest of the card... no one has been banging down the door to take one of the remaining spots. With that in mind, I will leave one spot open for a roster member or team to claim. For the other spot, I'd like- no... not like- to give The Invaders their one on one rematch with Bobby O and Jack Sevren. While The Invaders are not exactly to my taste, I recognise that their defeat of Clutch McCloud and Russ Bolt puts them back to the front of the queue for a title match, and I'd rather get it out of the way. In fact, I'd rather it be the penultimate match on the show, to ensure that the main event remains very much one on one.

"So the rest of the roster have a chance to find a spot on this show. I highly recommend that they take that chance as, at Dead Man's Chest in November, I have something in mind that I'm sure every one of them will be significantly interested in.

"Many thanks for your time. I look forward to seeing you all at FPW and The Secret of the Ooze."

"I don't need a goddamned partner!"

James appears in the gym kicking his opponent in the face. His opponent crumples to the ground and rolls out of the ring. James looks incredibly angry, as he walks over to the ropes 'till he's facing the camera.

"Stop asking me who my partners are! I don't have any, and the way it's going I don't imagine I'm going to have any by the time Secret of the Ooze rolls around."

James slides out of the ring.

"I had Evans, I had her right in my grasp until Evans and her clones decided that they'd just rather cheat. I'm going to show every one of them how to actually win a match."

James takes a second to breath.

"Look, I haven't been having the best time since the Free-1 and the Artemis Evans club hasn't been making it any better. But I've realized that I've just kind of been out of it for a while, I haven't been as focused as I should have been, but at Secret of the Ooze I'll prove that I'm back on track, and that I'm not going to let anyone distract me. When we meet in q couple of weeks I'm going to bring down the Queendom, even if I have to do alone."

Another opponent gets into the ring and runs at James only for James to knee them right in the stomach as the camera cuts to black.

After their most recent Sixty Minutes of Freedom match, Karlson and Grimm stay in the ring, and Karlson grabs one of the FPW cameramen recording the match at ringside and yanks him over. She looks directly into the camera and begins speaking, loud and clear.

EK: "Let me make it really fucking clear that i'm the only one allowed to be the queen bitch around here, and that I don't appreciate Artemis Evans and her stupid fucking 'queendom' stepping in and trying to take my glory. I'm going to keep this short and sweet-Saturn, Baker likes you, and considering we're backing him in this fight...we've got your back, too. You call, we'll answer. Let's kick some Queendom ass, eh?"

Karlson drops the microphone and rolls out of the ring, while Grimm looks menacingly toward it before rolling out as well, leaving the ring empty...

Artemis: "It looks like poor old James is trying to be the big man around here, wanting to fight us all on his own. I told you he was arrogant."

Myra: "That's not just arrogance, that's plain stupidity. We're three of the greatest female wrestlers alive today, and if Saturn thinks he can take all of us by himself, then we will pick him apart and destroy him."

Artemis: "I told you the people here weren't all that special. Once we take out James Saturn, there should be no stopping us from taking over this place."

Thea: "You mean, there would be nothing stopping you from taking over. Remember, Myra and I aren't official members of the FPW roster. We're wrestling this match at Secret of the Ooze because Jim Houston wants to see "justice" delivered. (all three women chuckle) But after that, we're done."

Myra: "But what you said is still true, there would be nothing to stop you from becoming the queen of FPW."

Artemis: "Queen of FPW, I like the sound of that."

There's small pause before Thea speaks up.

Thea: "So, are we going to talk about the elephant in the room?"

Artemis: "Hm? You mean the Renegades offering to help Saturn? Please, like we'd have to worry about them."

Myra: "What are the Renegades really? A grown woman who never grew out of her teenage 'edgy' phase and a generic big man wrestler. We can easily handle them."

Artemis: "And besides, even if Saturn comes to his senses and realizes he needs help against us, we still have a clear advantage over them. We are a unit, we've fought together many times. And while the Renegades do have similar experience, James Saturn doesn't. They won't be ready to go head to head with an experienced trio like us."

Thea nods, a devilish smile on her face. "That's what I thought, I just wanted to be sure we were on the same page."

Artemis: "Of course we're on the same page. And like I said, that's why we'll win."

The three women laugh as the video fades to black

*Camera comes up on Jerry Bishop in the locker room, accompanied by Super Che Junior, Matt Dwyer, and his half-sister Berry Bishop.*

SCJ: Jerry, you have so much to be proud of, primo. You may have lost against El Aviador, but you proved yourself as a Friendmigo.

MD: Yeah, dude, you put everything you had into that match, and you even pulled out tricks we hadn’t even thought you had, even some stuff I hadn’t even learned.

BB: Che and Matty are right, Jerry, you have nothing to be ashamed of in losing. You did your best, and you did what you promised to the Freedom Fighters. You put yourself on the line, and you fought harder than anyone would have asked you to. So please, don’t be sad, you did the best you could.

*Jerry takes in his family and friends’ words and nods slowly in acceptance*

JB: You’re right. I gave Baker everything I had, and he gave me everything he had. That’s the only thing either of us asked of each other. We gave each other a fair fight, and he was the better man that night. He went to places I hadn’t ever gone, and that may well have been the difference. Baker’s good. Real good. But I promise all of you that this loss will not phase me from living up to the Friendmigo Code.

*Matt, Che, and Jerry reach their hands in for the Friendmigo Oath. Berry starts to reach her hand in but realizes she isn’t an official Friendmigo and pulls back sheepishly.*

“In darkest match, in brightest ring,
“While in between the ropes we zing,
“We may not paint our face like Sting,
“But we believe that fun is king.”

*The three core Friendmigos almost let off a blue/purple light as they finish their oath.*

JB: Berry, I’m sorry you didn’t succeed in the Free-1 Tournament as you had hoped. But I know that your heart is in the right place. So how about this. You had said that you had an idea or two for proving yourself as a Friendmigo- how about you support Saturn in his match against the Queendom?

BB: Oh, boy, those ladies sure don’t play nice, do they? That just ain’t fair! If there’s one thing I can’t stand, I can’t stands fightin’ dirty! Jimmy deserves a fair fight! And I’m just the gal to help him out!

JB: I”m sure he appreciates your enthusiasm, but maybe don’t call him Jimmy just yet?

BB: Good point! And if this doesn’t work out, I can teach Eddie Dessius how to not be such a meaniehead!

*Berry skips off towards Saturn’s locker. Jerry starts after her, but Che and Matt stop him*

MD: Let her go, buddy, her heart’s in the right place.

SCJ: Sí, compadre, tu hermanita has the heart of a Friendmigo. But she just has to prove herself in the ring a bit more.

JB: You guys are right. She’s clearly got good intentions, I just don’t want her to get hurt...

*Jerry sighs slightly as Matt and Che support their friend.*

JB: Hey, how ‘bout we pick up some Panda House for after the show?

MD: Now you’re talkin’!

SCJ: Sí, primo, let’s hit it!

*The three Friendmigos head off towards Panda House with smiles and cheers.*

"Marcus Allen Jones Released from Hospital with Minor Injury, Insinuates Title Match Could be Canceled for Secret of the Ooze"

A source close to the situation has revealed that Freedom Pro Wrestling World Champion, Marcus Allen Jones, has been admitted to the hospital for head trauma following an attack by his Secret of the Ooze opponent, Azazel. Jones took to the ring to call out Free-1 briefcase winner, Graham Baker, only for Azazel to come out and stake his claim as future champion. According to those present at the house show, Jones challenged Baker or Azazel to take their best shot to which Azazel hit Jones with his bomaye knee, knocking the champ out cold. Jones was unable to get up for several minutes and when he did, he seemed to be experiencing concussion symptoms. 

UPDATE: LWOPW can now report that Jones did indeed suffer a concussion, leaving his status for Secret of the Ooze in jeopardy. We reached out to Jim Houston, owner of FPW, for comment, but he declined. A source who wishes to remain anonymous was willing to open up and informed us that the match will still be on even if Jones' condition is less than 100 percent. 

Wrestling injured is surely an advantage to his opponent. That being said, Jones was released under his own power late Friday night. Shortly after, he released this video on Twitter.

MAJ: Well, well, well. Looks like you're going to get what you wanted after all Jimbo. I am going into my title defense less than 100 percent because Azazel couldn't wait for his opportunity. He took a cheap shot, no doubt on your accord. It's sickening really. You claim to be this upstanding guy and yet you put a bounty on my head. You know the only way I'll lose this title is if you manipulate the odds to take it away from me. It's a good plan but it won't work so let me tell you this. I suffered a minor concussion because of Azazel's unprovoked and unwarranted attack and as of right now, have not been medically cleared to perform. So, think wisely if you don't want to be sued. You can't force an injured wrestler to the ring. It won't end well for you if you do. So there are no guarantees I'll be fit to wrestle, no guarantees I'll be able to defend my title. If I do though, know that I'll be doing it at less than optimum performance. If I lose the belt, that's the only reason why. Azazel knows he can't beat be at my best but he's about to find out he can't and WON'T be able to beat me at my worst either. So take this as a warning Jim. When I defeat Azazel, when I do it with my head not all there and my judgment perhaps a little warped, myself unable to be held responsible for my actions because of my head injury...I'm going to continue to take down and take over each and every one of your indie darlings. You want to throw this list of challengers at me. FINE. One by one by one, they'll all fall down. Until you have no choice but to fight your own battle. You and me. Mano y mano. We both know that's the only way this ends.

It's not often that my bears agree on something, but when they do it means i really should listen to them. And they have been telling me that I need to get a match at Secret of the Ooze. believe me I know that someone is itching for a fight. so I have one question for you all. Who wants to lose to the king of the teddy bears at The Secret of the Ooze.

A video is uploaded to the FPW website showing a backstage altercation from the previous night.

*The video opens with a view of the floor as the cameraman runs towards the sound of commotion. He brings the camera up as he rounds the corner and reveals all three members of the Queendom mercilessly stomping away at the grounded form of Elizabeth Karlson. As the cameraman watches, Karlson lashes out with her legs and manages to kick Thea away. She starts rising back to her feet, blocking some of the strikes and swinging a few of her own. She caught a punch from Artemis and shoved her away, then kicked Myra in the gut, forcing her to take a step back. She turned around, only to run into a superkick from Thea. Elizabeth crumpled, and Thea smirked as she looked down at her fallen form. Working together, the Queendom pulled her to her feet and then slammed her, spine-first, into the wall. Karlson cried out in pain and slumped to the floor. The Queendom began stomping away again, filling the audio with the sound of boots striking flesh. Security ran past the cameraman and tried to seperate the Queendom from their victim. Without saying a word, Myra disengaged from the assault and began fighting with the security, preventing them from ending the attack.

Thea bent over and held Elizabeth in place against the wall, grabbing her by the chin and forcing her to look at Artemis as she took a few steps back and began speaking.

“You want to talk shit about us when we're not around? You want to get involved in a fight that isn't yours? This is what you get when you mess with us!”

With that, Artemis ran forward and drove her knee into Karlson’s face, causing her head to snap back against the wall. The light faded from Karlson’s eyes and her head slumped forward, unconscious. John Grimm suddenly appeared, running past the cameraman. The Queendom backed up from Karlson as Grimm got close. The camera faded to black as Grimm’s glaring eyes met the three satisfied smirks of the Queendom, framing the fallen form of Elizabeth Karlson between them.

As FPW 60 Minutes is about to close the fans in the arena are shocked by the sounds of Walk by Pantera playing over the speakers!

MW: "Oh my god is he really here?"

Tommy Storm walks to the ring through the crowd, he is wearing street clothes and has a look on his face not seen in FPW yet.

MW: "Tommy Storm has returned to FPW just days before he has a chance to become FPW Hardcore Champion!"

Tommy Grabs a Mic

TS: "Everyone wants to know where have I been and why have I not been around FPW since the Free-1 ended and I became the number 1 contender for the FPW Hardcore Title. Well that hardcore battle royal opened my eyes and soul and reminded me who the hell I really am. Yes I am the man who has more 5 star matches then anyone, yes I am the guy who became The King of Xtreme by winning the biggest and most violent tournament in the history of the wrestling business, and Yes i am the man that came to FPW to make havoc run wild. However the man that came to FPW and fought in the Free-1 was a shel of who I should have been. The hardcore battle royal awoken the demon inside I was trying to control! Now Baker you have to deal with the fact that the most extreme fighter and most hardcore wrestler in the world is fully focused and is coming for your title! This sunday night, The King of Xtreme returns in full force and you Baker need to give your soul to whatever god you believe in cause your ass belongs to me in the Japanese Deathmatch! BEAT ME IF YOU CAN! SURVIVE IF I LET YOU!"

Walk plays again over the speakers as Tommy stares down the camera

MW: " oh my god fans, I don't know what to say right now, Tommy Storm looks more like the devil himself then I have ever seen. I apologize in advance of this Sunday night for the amount of violence that will be seen. May god have mercy on Baker and Storm this Sunday in a Japanese Deathmatch for the FPW Hardcore Championship!!!
