Handler: Jim Houston
The Guardians of Strong Style are a Japanese tag team- Hiro Takahara and Masa Tchyukiro. They've been a team ever since they first walked into a dojo in Hiroshima, their home town, two days apart just over thirteen years ago. They're both believers in strong style being the 'correct' style of wrestling, and have been wrestling that style for the past thirteen years. They spent their first four years wrestling for small Japanese promotions before spending five years wrestling part-time for Pro Wrestling NOAH, where they had two separate opportunities to become GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Champions but came up short both times. For the past four years, they've been training with Daisuke Sekimoto and wrestling for Big Japan, where they've proven to be fan favourites for much of the time, although at times they have been considered to have gone too far. On one such occasion, they caused a serious neck injury to a young wrestler and forced him to retire, leading Sekimoto to recommend they be let go from the company. They've now come over to the USA with the aim of bringing strong style to the forefront of the Freedom Pro Wrestling tag division. As they speak no English, they've come over with their manager, known only as Sato, who is believed to have been their first trainer.
Name: Hiro Takahara
Nickname(s): None
Date of Birth: 14th December 1985
Hometown: Hiroshima, Japan
Heel, Face, or Tweener: Tweener
Wrestling Style: Strong Style
Personality: Stoic. The strong, silent type who gets very intense in matches, enjoying strike exchanges and always wanting to prove that he's tougher than his opponent.
Strengths: Strikes- in particular, kicks- and his ability to take pain.
Weaknesses: He tries to show his toughness too much, continuing to beckon opponents to take their shot at him rather than finishing matches at times.
Wrestler Pic Base: Katsuyori Shibata
Attire: Black trunks, black knee pads, black boots.
Moveset (list 10 or more common moves):
Kicks (leg kicks, back kicks, mid kicks, taunting kicks to the head as an opponent is getting up)
Penalty kick
Running dropkick
Enzeguiri
Knee strikes
Double knees to a seated opponent in the corner
Knife-edged chops
Forearms
Top rope crossbody
Snap suplex
Saito suplex
Name: Masa Tchyukiro
Nickname(s): None
Date of Birth: 6th June 1985
Hometown: Hiroshima, Japan
Heel, Face, or Tweener: Tweener
Wrestling Style: Strong Style
Personality: More expressive than Takahara. It takes more to fire him up but he will fire up when he needs to. Still enjoys strike exchanges, but won't seek them out as much as his partner, instead preferring to surprise his opponent rather than continue to take punishment.
Strengths: Strikes- in particular headbutts, lariats and chops- as well as his intelligence in knowing when to keep trading blows and when to cut off an exchange.
Weaknesses: Overly reliant on headbutts, leading to a weakness against DDTs etc. Has an historic neck injury which is exploitable too but picks up injuries fairly quickly and will always try to fight through them rather than taping them up.
Wrestler Pic Base: Tomohiro Ishii
Attire: Black trunks, black knee pads, black boots.
Moveset:
Knife-edged chops and overhand chops
Forearms, especially in the corner

Pop-up headbutt

Shoulder tackles (running and top rope)

Tag Team Combination Moves (all of these moves could end a match):
Tchyukiro (chops) and Takahara (kicks) attack a standing opponent in the corner.
Tchyukiro hits a discus lariat and Takahara hits a kick to the head as the opponent falls.
Tchuykiro hits a powerslam and Takahara follows up with a penalty kick.
Takahara hits a dropkick to the back of the head and Tchyukiro hits a lariat as the opponent staggers forward.
Takahara hits a mid kick to take the opponent down and Tchyukiro hits a kokeshi headbutt.
They each hit running forearms to a standing opponent- Takahara to the face and Tchyukiro to e back of the head (main finisher).
Team Theme Song: Hirooki Goto's Theme (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-qfpKGE1hlQ)
Team Entrance: As the introduction to the song plays, Sato emerges through the curtain and bows to the fans. Once the introduction ends, Sato rises and Takahara and Tchyukiro stand either side of him and they bow to the crowd. They then both walk down the ramp with a purpose and climb into the ring, either standing and stretching out if their opponents are yet to enter or standing and staring down their opponents if they're already in the ring.
Manager- Sato.
Sato is older than Takahara and Tchyukiro. He speaks with a Japanese accent but is confident with English and always speaks for the team. He is usually seen wearing workout gear, showing his tattoos which cover both arms. He has several scars on his forehead from wrestling, where it is rumoured that he used to be a masked wrestler in Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling, but he's never confirmed who he may have been. Sato rarely gets involved in matches, other than to encourage his team and to raise their arms at the end. He's a traditionalist and always believes in entering with a bow and leaving with a bow.
